Drupal Development

Architecture, builds, migrations and long-term care for Drupal 10 and 11.

Drupal earns its keep when the content is genuinely structured: when a case study is a case study rather than a page of pasted HTML, and the same content can appear in three places without being copied.

That is the part we care most about. We model your content around what it actually is, keep configuration in version control so environments stay in step, and leave you with a site where editors can publish confidently and upgrades are routine rather than a project.

We work with Drupal 10 and 11, including migrations from older versions and from other content management systems.

  • Editors publish without needing a developer
  • Content structured once and reused across pages and channels
  • Configuration in git, so staging and production stay in step
  • Upgrades that are routine maintenance rather than a migration project
How long does a Drupal build take?

Most builds run eight to sixteen weeks depending on how much content has to be modelled and migrated. Migrations from an older CMS are usually the largest single variable.

Can you work alongside our in-house team?

Yes. We regularly embed with in-house developers, and a good part of our work is handing over a codebase and a content model that a client team can carry on with.

Do you handle upgrades from older Drupal versions?

Yes. Drupal 7 and 8 sites need a rebuild of the content model rather than a simple version bump, so we treat those as migrations: audit what is actually used, model it properly, then move the content.

Why does the content model matter so much?

Because it is the part you cannot cheaply change later. Themes get replaced and modules get swapped, but a content model with the wrong shape means every future feature fights it. We spend real time here on purpose.
